RESEARCH EXECUTIVE / PROJECT CO-ORDINATOR

Carrick James Market Research is a leading agency in child and youth market research.  We have a small friendly busy office in W1, near Edgware Road tube station.   We are looking for the right person to work in a team with our executives, field and analysis departments and support staff.  As this is a small company, there is great opportunity to develop your research skills and experience.

The role is a blend of project management, administration, and general involvement in all aspects of our agency.

Job Description - tasks vary according to work in hand

·         Managing projects from enquires to completion including managing multi country studies where applicable

·         Client liaison including attending client meetings

·         Responding to client briefs / writing quotes and job proposals

·         Writing and developing questionnaires

·         Report Writing

·         Managing interviewers and support staff when required

·         Timing and cost control

 

Person Specification 

·         Research skills – practical qualitative or quantitative research experience

·         Interest in children and youth essential

·         Knowledge of child and youth sector an advantage

·         Good Organisational skills

·         Excellent Communication skills – confidence and ability to deal with people at all levels from kids to clients

·         Ability to work under pressure

·         Ability to supervise and communicate with others

·         Happy to get involved with all aspects of agency

·         Familiarity with Word, Excel, PowerPoint essential.  Internal office networks, Access & Publisher also useful.

·         International outlook

 

Salary Levels

Salary will depend on your experience and what you can bring to the job.  In the range of £18-25 000 p/a.

Experienced Researchers on Project Bases

We would also like to develop our roster of researchers who can help on individual projects - qual and quant.  Specialist experience especially in child/youth area useful.  Please send details.

Traineeship

We might consider the right person who is interested in the work we do, but has little previous experience in this field.

Such a person will have good written English, computer skills including Word, Excel and PowerPoint, like children and be interested in this sector, be well organised and keen with a questioning mind.  General office admin capability also important,
